Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee quality control testing activities in the QC laboratory, including supervision of Raw Material (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) laboratory technicians;
2. Ensure compliance of laboratory operations with applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines (e.g., GMP, GLP, NPRA, ISO);
3. Perform and review chemical, biological, and microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products in accordance with approved methods and SOPs;
4. Prepare and review analytical worksheets, test results, and reports in a timely and accurate manner;
5. Support and participate in change control, deviation investigations, and CAPA activities, including identifying opportunities for continuous improvement;
6. Participate and support audits, including internal and external/regulatory audits (e.g., NPRA, ISO) and ensure timely closure of audit findings and CAPAs;
7. Develop, review and maintain quality control documentation, including SOPs, test methods, and product specifications;
8. Manage and monitor laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents and working standards to ensure adequate stock levels;
9. Coordinate and liaise with vendors for equipment calibration, maintenance, and procurement activities;
10. Investigate and follow up on deviations related to packaging materials and coordinate with vendors for resolution;
11. Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and safety requirements at all times;
12. Report and update the superior on the progress of assigned tasks and laboratory activities; and
13. Undertake ad hoc and other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Malaysian citizens;
2. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree/Master in Life Science or any related field and recognized by the Malaysian government from a local or foreign higher education institution or a qualification recognized as equivalent;
3. Preferably with a minimum one (1) year of working experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry;
4. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills;
5. Ability to work independently in a structured and regulated environment; and
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
