Quality Inspector

Responsibilities:
1. Perform QC inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according to established SOPs and testing standards.
2. Carry out product sampling, visual inspection, measurement, and laboratory testing as required.
3. Record and update quality inspection results accurately in forms, systems, or QC logs.
4. Identify non-conforming products and report abnormalities, defects, or deviations to the Quality Executive/Manager immediately.
5. Assist in verification of rework, re-test, or corrective actions on non-conforming materials.
6. Maintain QC tools, equipment, and instruments, ensuring they are clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
7. Support in-line inspections at production areas to ensure compliance with quality standards and work instructions.
8. Follow FIFO/FEFO, proper sample labeling, and traceability requirements during inspection and testing.
9. Follow all safety rules and maintain cleanliness of the QC lab and inspection areas.

Requirements

Education & Experience
-SPM Certification and above
-Minimum 1 - 2 years’ working experience in quality control / inspection, preferably in adhesives, polymers, or chemical manufacturing industry. (Added Advantage)
-Prior laboratory working experience (Added Advantage)

Technical Knowledge
-Familiar with hotmelt adhesive properties (viscosity, softening point, adhesion, color, etc.) and common testing methods.
-Ability to read and interpret product specifications, drawings, and BOM.
-Knowledge of ISO standards, GMP, and quality control procedures.

Skills & Competencies
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
-Proficient in using laboratory testing instruments and inspection equipment.
-Good computer literacy (MS Office, SAP or ERP system is an advantage).
-Ability to prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate effectively with production and QA teams.
