Key Responsibilities
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ), material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Assist in tender preparation, supplier quotation evaluation, and comparison sheets.
• Manage project budgets, monthly cost tracking, and cash flow forecasts.
• Verify and certify subcontractor progress claims; prepare client claims where applicable.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VO).
• Conduct site measurements, joint inspections, and verify completed works.
• Monitor material deliveries, usage, and cost control vs. budget.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, designers, and site teams.
• Maintain proper documentation including VO logs, LOA/LOI, and cost files.
Requirements
• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction QS.
• Able to read structural, architectural, and M&E drawings.
• Strong negotiation skills, detail-oriented, and good documentation habits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with housing development and basic civil engineering works.
• Understanding of construction sequencing (formwork, rebar, concreting, finishes).
• Experience with government-related submissions will be an added advantage.
