R & D Chemist (Comestic)

The Key Responsibilities

Formulation: Design and develop new cosmetic products (creams, serums, gels, lotions) from initial concept to physical prototype.
Testing: Perform physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations alongside stability and packaging compatibility studies.
Ingredient Sourcing: Discover and evaluate new, innovative active ingredients from vendors for product performance.
Production Scale-up: Translate lab-scale formulas into mass production and troubleshoot issues during pilot trials.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulas meet ASEAN Cosmetic Directive guidelines, GMP, ISO, and Halal standards.
Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Cosmetic Science.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in skincare, personal care, and cosmetic formulation.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of raw materials, emulsion science, and creative troubleshooting abilities for formulation challenges.
Soft Skills: Independent, creative problem-solver with a strong passion for beauty trends, innovation, and sustainability.
