Resident Host Team Leader (Guest Relations / Concierge)

Soori Penang is a new ultra-luxury heritage hotel in the heart of George Town. We are looking for a warm, polished and service-focused Resident Host to welcome our guests and support a personalized, seamless and memorable stay.

This role is ideal for individuals with guest relations, concierge, butler, villa host, or premium cabin crew experience — those who genuinely enjoy hosting, anticipating needs, and creating meaningful guest moments.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure smooth check-in and check-out.
Meet and greet guests, including airport reception and arrival coordination when required.
Support room readiness by coordinating with Housekeeping and assisting with pre-arrival room setup.
Respond promptly to guest requests with discretion and professionalism.
Assist guests with dining, transport, reservations, and activity arrangements.
Create personalised itineraries highlighting George Town’s culture, heritage, and local artisans.
Coordinate with Housekeeping and Culinary teams to deliver seamless service.
Provide support to Food & Beverage operations during peak periods, including service assistance and guest engagement when required.
Lead and oversee the Resident Host team, including training, mentoring, and daily coordination to ensure consistent service standards.
Maintain guest privacy and uphold a calm, refined guest experience at all times.
Be available for night duty / after-hours guest support on a rotating basis.


Requirements
Background in hospitality is required; experience in guest relations, concierge services, butler service, villa hosting, or premium airline cabin service is an advantage.
Warm, composed, well-presented, and attentive to detail.
Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Penang’s culture, food, and hidden gems is highly valued.
Able to multitask across different departments in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Comfortable with a resident-style role and on-call support as required.
