Safety Coordinator

Job Description
Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) regulations, DOSH requirements, and company safety policies.

Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all operational areas.

Lead HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control) activities for departments and attractions.

Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, including preparation of reports and corrective action plans.

Coordinate safety inductions, toolbox briefings, and safety training programs for employees.

Monitor and maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reports.

Liaise with external authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, and other regulatory agencies.

Coordinate Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities, fire drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.

Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.


Requirements
Minimum Diploma/Degree or relevant qualification in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.

NIOSH Certified Safety & Health Officer / Safety Coordinator (SHO) certification is STRICTLY REQUIRED.

Minimum 3 years of working experience in safety coordination, preferably in hospitality, theme park, construction, or operations environment.

Good knowledge of OSHA 1994, DOSH, and Factory and Machinery Act 1967.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu.

Ability to lead and influence a safety-first culture among ground crew.

Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage emergency situations effectively.

Proficiency in preparing technical safety reports and SOPs.

Able to work independently and travel between operational sites when required.
