Safety & Security Manager

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and security policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements

Oversee daily security operations, including access control, surveillance systems, and incident response procedures

Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend preventative measures

Manage and supervise security personnel, providing training, performance management, and professional development opportunities

Investigate security incidents, accidents, and breaches, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions

Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, fire safety regulations, and emergency response protocols

Maintain detailed records and reports on security incidents, audits, and compliance activities

Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to coordinate security and emergency response efforts

Conduct safety training and awareness programs for all staff members

Manage security equipment, systems, and technology, ensuring optimal functionality and maintenance



What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience in security management or a related field, ideally within the hospitality or service industry

Proven experience managing security personnel and leading teams in a supervisory or managerial capacity

Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance technology, access control, and alarm systems

Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and fire safety regulations

Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and develop effective security strategies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels and external stakeholders

Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgement in responding to security incidents and emergencies

Proficiency in incident reporting and documentation

Physical fitness and ability to respond to emergency situations
