Senior Engineer - Tendering

What you'll be doing

Thorough review of Customer specifications, Single Line Diagram, Project Requirements,

Preparation of detailed Bill of Material for the MV Switchgear range, referring to available product range and variants,

Connect and negotiate with external suppliers for non-standard requirements,

Review and finalization of detailed material cost,

Prepare a detailed technical compliance sheet, deviation list, and important highlights,

Prepare a detailed Cost Sheet for management review and approval,

Prepare formal offer document, covering all Techno-Commercial aspects,

Offer revision, replies to technical queries, and arrange supporting documents,

Monitor progress of RFQs in hand, and timely submissions,

Periodic review with the respective Sales team for offers review, feedback on offer quality,

Coordinate order review with SME w.r.t to Statutory Legal and Techno-Commercial terms,

Monitoring Win/Loss status of all offers, hit ratio, and focus on offer quality.

What we're looking for

3+ years of post-qualification experience in engineering, with a strong background in tendering and proposal development

Proven experience in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering industry, preferably within the switchgear or power distribution sector

Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, standards and regulations

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills to secure favourable contract terms

Proficient in preparing and presenting compelling technical and commercial proposals

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders
