The Senior HR Executive will act as the strategic HR leader for multiple business units within the Group, overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. This role will lead a team of HRBPs, ensuring alignment between HR strategies and business objectives in the fast-paced property development sector.
What you'll be doing for this role:
Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business growth (e.g., workforce planning for new property projects).
Lead the HRBP team, providing guidance on complex HR issues and ensuring consistency in HR practices across BUs.
Drive change management initiatives (e.g., mergers, restructuring) in collaboration with Group HR.
Oversee succession planning for critical roles (e.g., Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors).
Design and implement leadership development programs for high-potential employees.
Monitor employee engagement (e.g., pulse surveys) and recommend action plans to address gaps.
Resolve escalated employee relations issues (e.g., disputes, misconduct investigations).
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws (e.g., Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act) and Group policies.
Represent the company in industrial court cases (if required), working with legal advisors.
Lead the annual performance review cycle, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Advise on competitive compensation strategies (e.g., benchmarking for construction/property roles).
Approve promotions, increments, and disciplinary actions for assigned BUs.
Oversee HRIS (Worksy) implementation/optimization for data-driven decisions.
Analyse HR metrics (attrition, time-to-fill, training ROI) and present insights to management.
Streamline Shared Services processes (e.g., payroll, onboarding) for efficiency.
What you'll need for this role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline.
4–6 years of combined experience in recruitment and training, preferably within real estate, construction, or fast-paced industries.
Strong understanding of Malaysian employment law, HRDF (Human Resource Development Fund), and labour market trends.
Experience in hiring for site-based and technical roles (e.g. engineers, QS, sales) is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and applicant tracking tools.
