Senior Finance Executive

Job Responsibilities:

-Execute assigned tasks as part of the monthly financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables.

-Perform key financial analyses to verify the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial data and reports.

-Maintain and update monthly closing schedules, focusing on the review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure proper financial reporting.

-Provide support during external financial audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor queries.

-Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate tax filings in compliance with local tax regulations.

-Contribute to financial-related projects, such as the enhancement of accounting systems and streamlining of operational processes.

-Develop, review, and implement improvements to Financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, control, and compliance.

-Undertake other ad-hoc assignments or duties as assigned by management, supporting various finance and business initiatives.

Job Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or equivalent

-Professional certifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are a plus but not mandatory

-Minimum 3 years of experience in financial closing and reporting

-Basic understanding of MFRS and local corporate tax regulations

-Strong grasp of accounting principles and double entry

-Familiar with corporate financial closing processes

-Proficient in data analysis and accounting systems

-Able to adapt to changes in SOPs, MFRS, and tax updates

-Exposure to accounting standards, tax laws, and system/SOP setup
