Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and risk assessment to safeguard the Group’s rights and interests.
Manage and oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters with external counsel.
Review, draft, negotiate, and manage legal documentation including NDAs, tenancy agreements, SPA, MOUs, LOAs, and commercial contracts.
Advise on corporate, commercial, litigation, banking, and property matters.
Liaise and coordinate with external legal counsel in Malaysia and regional jurisdictions.
Support business teams in contract negotiations and major transactions.
Conduct legal research on applicable laws including Companies Act 2016, PDPA 2010, and other relevant legislation.
Handle ad hoc legal matters and strategic projects as assigned by management.
RequirementsEducation & Qualification
Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons)
Called to the Malaysian Bar (preferred)
Experience
10–15 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice and/or in-house legal role
Experience in corporate, litigation, commercial, banking, and property matters
Exposure to public listed company requirements is an advantage
Knowledge & Competencies
Strong understanding of Malaysian corporate and commercial laws
Experience managing external counsel
Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Language Requirements
English , Mandrin and Bahasa Melayu (mandatory)
Hokkien proficiency is an advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
