Job Description
Adient Malaysia is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee end-to-end payroll administration for Adient Malaysia, covering our Shah Alam, Tanjung Malim, and Alor Gajah plants. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing, statutory compliance, and provide excellent support to employees and management. This role collaborates closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain seamless payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle payroll for multiple plant locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF, etc.)
• Maintain and update employee master data and confidential payroll records
• Handle payroll-related queries professionally and provide guidance to employees and managers
• Prepare payroll reports, costing analysis, and support internal/external audits
• Coordinate year-end tax activities including EA forms and PCB reconciliation
• Partner with HR and Finance to enhance payroll processes, system utilization, and reporting accuracy
• Support compensation & benefits administration, claims, and related HR initiatives
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing or MNC environment
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll statutory compliance and HR practices
• Experience with payroll systems (Sunfish, Workday, or similar) is an advantage
• High accuracy, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Customer-focused with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
