Senior Power BI Consultant

Responsibilities:

Implement Semantic Models: Build Power BI semantic models, structuring fact tables, dimensions, and relationships. Define DAX measures for aggregations, time intelligence, and filtering to enable scalable and dynamic reporting.

Build Reports: Design and develop visually compelling and intuitive Power BI reports, applying themes, layouts, filters, and interactivity to drive user adoption and insights.

Implement Security Controls: Define and apply row-level, column-level, and object-level security based on business rules.

Provide support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), addressing data and reporting issues, and ensuring accuracy and reliability of deliverables.

Deploy solutions to production, following structured deployment practices to ensure stability, proactive monitoring, and operational continuity.

Produce as-built documentation, detailing specifications, configurations, and operational considerations.

Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with client technical teams, including hands-on demonstrations, to ensure sustainable management of the solution.

Participate in and facilitate governance cadences (planning, stand-ups, reviews, showcases).

Promote transparency, accountability, and alignment among stakeholders and delivery teams.

Requirements:

Proven expertise in Power BI semantic modelling, DAX, and report development.

Experience with implementing row-level and object-level security in BI solutions.

Strong background in data validation, UAT support, and production deployment processes.

Ability to prepare professional technical documentation and deliver knowledge transfer workshops.

Experience facilitating Agile project ceremonies and collaborating across distributed/offshore teams.

Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Services, SQL Server).
