Senior Procurement Executive/ Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Procurement Executive/Engineer at Mewah Group, you will play a crucial role in the company's purchasing and procurement operations. This full-time position, based in Pulau Indah, Selangor, Malaysia, is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics activities.

What you'll be doing

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing and terms

Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and issuing purchase orders

Monitor and optimise inventory levels to meet production and distribution requirements

Analyse and report on procurement data to identify cost savings and process improvements

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline

3-5 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing or food industries

Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Proficient in the use of procurement and inventory management software

Knowledge and audit experience in FSSC/ HACCP /ISO/GMP+
