Site Safety Supervisor (DOSH Yellow Book Required)

About the Role
We are urgently seeking a registered and highly experienced Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book holder) to take charge of our site safety operations. In this critical statutory role, you will be the primary authority ensuring our construction sites achieve strict compliance with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and OSHA regulations. You will lead safety audits, manage hazard controls, and champion a zero-accident culture on-site.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the official DOSH-registered Site Safety Supervisor for the project, signing off on required statutory safety documentation.

- Enforce absolute compliance with DOSH regulations, OSHA guidelines, and internal company safety policies at all times.

- Conduct rigorous daily site walks, safety audits, and scaffolding inspections to identify hazards and stop unsafe work practices immediately.

- Develop, implement, and continuously update Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) documentation.

- Lead daily toolbox meetings, mandatory safety inductions for new workers, and emergency response drills.

- Educate site execution teams, subcontractors, and management on safe work procedures and PPE compliance.

- Investigate any workplace accidents, near-misses, or safety breaches to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

- Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly safety reports to the Project Manager and local authorities as required.

Job Requirements

- Must possess a valid and active "Yellow Book" (Registered Site Safety Supervisor) issued by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).

- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of proven, hands-on experience managing safety on active building construction or civil engineering projects.

- Deep understanding of Malaysian safety laws, statutory submission procedures, and site risk management.

- Familiarity with emergency response protocols, incident investigation, and first aid.

- Strong leadership presence and the authority to enforce safety rules strictly with subcontractors and site workers.

- Excellent communication skills for liaising with government authorities, consultants, and internal teams.
