Requirements
Possess a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certificate or equivalent.
Minimum of 2~ 4 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably within a woodworking or related manufacturing environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin to collaborate with colleagues and understand technical instructions.
Proficient in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and able to independently program CNC machines for various woodcraft projects.
Demonstrated expertise in CNC machine operation, including setup, tooling selection, and process optimization to achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to accurately interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints to produce components that meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
Solid understanding of woodworking techniques and materials, with the ability to select appropriate cutting tools and parameters for different wood types.
Capable of performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
Conduct thorough quality control checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify conformance to specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to CNC programming, machine operation, or material properties.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work with precise measurements and finishes.
Familiarity with CNC Milling processes and techniques is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations on wood materials according to blueprints and technical drawings.
Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes, taking into account material properties and toolpath strategies.
Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify that finished products meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining problems, such as tool wear, material defects, and programming errors, to maintain production efficiency and minimize scrap.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with other machinists and production staff to optimize machining processes and improve overall production efficiency.
