JOB SUMMARY
Lead partnerships with key sports organizations and athletes across Malaysia. This position focuses on driving impactful marketing initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with athletes / sports organizations and delivering exceptional partnership support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for selected sports federations and athletes, ensuring their needs align with Skechers’ branding and goals.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of federation and athletes’ objectives to uncover mutually beneficial opportunities.
Foster open and regular communication with federations, athletes and internal stakeholders, ensuring productive and lasting partnerships.
2. Agency and Athlete Collaboration
Oversee daily interactions with external sports agencies and athletes to ensure alignment with Skechers’ vision and federation objectives.
Define clear expectations, review agency and athlete deliverables, and conduct performance evaluations to uphold quality.
Assess reports, budgets, and proposals from agencies and athletes, ensuring accountability and effective resource utilization.
Collaborate with agencies to recruit athletes or work directly with them to boost brand presence and engagement.
3. Sports Marketing Campaigns
Lead sports marketing campaigns, activations, and product launches beyond federation collaborations, fostering community engagement.
Oversee daily sports marketing operations to ensure consistency with sales and branding objectives.
Partner with agencies and athletes to produce captivating content that showcases partnerships with federations, athletes, and organizations.
Use strategic communication plans to amplify the reach of these collaborations across various channels.
Monitor athletes’ content effectiveness, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize impact.
4. Marketing and Communication
Design and implement targeted campaigns to promote federation collaborations, leveraging digital, social media, and athletes’ platforms.
Prepare content guideline to create engaging materials that spotlight Skechers’ partnerships and boost visibility in Malaysia.
Analyze campaign performance and apply insights to refine communication strategies for better outcomes.
6. Cross-Team Coordination
Collaborate with merchandising and sales teams to align brand messages.
Act as a key liaison between local markets and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 1 year of experience in sports marketing or managing partnerships, ideally with exposure to sports federations or similar groups.
Preferably working experience in sports retail company.
Have genuine passion for sports and familiarity with the Malaysian sports industry.
A results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
