DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Finance Management
-Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business Plans including actively advising owner and Management Team.
-Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
-Responsible for the audit, tax and any statutory requirements.
-Provide updates and enhances financial systems, processes and controls to improve efficiency and governance.
-Attend to any other ad-hoc matters as required.

Routine Account Operations
-Responsible for the maintenance of financial records of the company
-Provide analysis and solutions with Department Heads regarding departments’ performance against budget.
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws which included timely filing and compliance with tax requirements, GST return and statutory payment.
-Follow the financial operating procedures in relation to all accounting activities and financial management of the hotel.

Oversee the accurate preparation of the Daily Revenue Journal and circulates to Department Heads on a timely basis.
-Administer all credit and collection procedures and ensures that an accurate monthly debtors ageing report is compiled and presented as required.
-Control and monitor purchases are within budget according to cash flow projections.
-Prepare monthly maintenance reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.
-Monthly reporting of financial results to owner and management.
-Ensure team members are cross trained to support successful daily operations.
-Attend to any other ad-hoc matters as required.



Desired Skills & Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
-8 years relevant experience with 1 year in a managerial role.
-Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
-Strong business acumen
-Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with excellent written & spoken English.
-Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.
-Ability to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement process improvements and SOPs within the Finance area.
-Ability to ‘manage upwards’ and report directly and/or indirectly to the Managing Director and owner
-Certification (CPA or CIMA or ACCA or relevant) is a plus
