Job Summary

The Demi Cook supports the kitchen team in daily food preparation and cooking, working under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Head Chef. This role is ideal for a trained cook who wants to grow skills in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
-Assist in food preparation and cooking according to recipes and standards
-Prepare ingredients (cutting, marinating, portioning, sauces)
-Support senior chefs during service
-Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations
-Follow food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
-Assist in stock handling and basic inventory control
-Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
-Carry out any kitchen duties assigned by senior chefs

Requirements
-Basic culinary training or culinary school background preferred
-At least 1 year of kitchen experience is an advantage
-Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
-Able to work in a fast-paced environment
-Team player with a positive attitude
-Willing to learn and take instructions
-Able to work weekends and public holidays
