Job Description

Responsibilities :

Halal Compliance & Certification

Coordinate and maintain Halal certification with JAKIM / State Religious Authorities

Ensure compliance with MS 1500, Halal Assurance System (HAS), and related standards

Prepare, submit, and monitor Halal applications, renewals, and amendments

Liaise with JAKIM, JAIN, JAIS, and relevant authorities

Maintain Halal documentation, manuals, SOPs, records, and evidence files

Support internal and external Halal audits and follow up on corrective actions

Verify Halal status of raw materials, suppliers, and service providers

Support Halal training and awareness programs for employees

Administrative & Office Support

Handle general administrative duties including filing, documentation, and record keeping

Manage office correspondence, emails, and coordination with internal departments

Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and management documents

Support procurement administration (PO tracking, vendor documents, approvals)

Maintain records for contracts, licenses, certificates, and statutory documents

Coordinate meetings, training sessions, audits, and appointments

Support basic HR administration such as staff records, training attendance, and onboarding documents (if required)

Coordination & Compliance Support

Act as liaison between Halal, QA, Operations, Warehouse, and Management teams

Support compliance-related activities (ISO, HACCP, GMP – if applicable)

Monitor regulatory deadlines and certification renewal schedules

Ensure proper document control and version management



Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field

Certified Halal Executive (JAKIM-recognized) is an advantage

1–3 years’ experience in Halal compliance or administrative roles
(Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)

Knowledge of Halal standards (MS 1500, HAS) is an added advantage

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

Strong documentation and compliance mindset

Good coordination and administrative skills

High attention to detail and confidentiality

Ability to work independently and across functions

Strong integrity in Halal assurance responsibilities
