Laboratory Team Lead (Chemical Industry)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Laboratory Team Lead to oversee laboratory operations in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for managing testing activities, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with QEHS and management systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Management
Lead and manage the laboratory testing team in line with company policies and procedures.

Conduct onboarding, on-the-job training, daily work allocation, attendance management, and performance evaluation for laboratory personnel.

2. Analysis and Testing
Review, optimize, and improve laboratory testing standards and methods to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

Manage laboratory testing and analytical equipment, including routine maintenance, inspection, verification, and calibration, to ensure proper operation.

Organize and complete testing and analysis for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

Review test results, make technical judgments, and provide timely and accurate feedback to relevant departments.

Manage laboratory reagents, consumables, and spare parts to ensure availability and suitability for daily operations.

Conduct laboratory measurement system analysis (MSA) to ensure the effectiveness of the measurement system.

3. Quality Management
Lead 8D investigations for internal and external quality issues, collect relevant data, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions with related departments.

Participate in process quality audits and ensure departments comply with management system requirements.

Conduct SPC and process capability analysis, manage quality alerts, and support the stability of production processes.

4. Lean Management
Drive laboratory lean initiatives in line with company requirements to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operating costs.
