Milling Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled technician in milling to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating milling machine to ensure all the production proceed run smoothly.

To ensure daily production targets are meet with standard quality within the standards given.

Analyses job order and performs necessary calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.

Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.

Determines sequence of operations in a program.

Analyses and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.

Makes improvements to set up times for a task.

Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.

Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required all dimensional inspections.

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.

Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform typical machine shop operations to support the production and fabrication process.

Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.

Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.

Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.

Undertake other responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.
