Route Survey Coordination: Coordinate or participate in route surveys and feasibility studies to determine optimal line routes and tower placements.

Design Inputs: Provide inputs on tower spotting, soil testing, clearance requirements, and load assessments to design teams.

Technical Specifications: Develop or verify technical specifications for materials and construction methods in compliance with standards (e.g., IS, IEC, IEEE).

2. Project Execution & Construction Oversight

Site Supervision: Monitor on-site construction of transmission towers, foundations, conductor stringing, and grounding systems.

Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with civil, electrical, and mechanical contractors to ensure timely and quality execution of work.

Work Scheduling: Support planning and scheduling of work activities, aligning with project milestones and deadlines.

Problem-Solving: Address and resolve site-level technical issues in real time in coordination with design and construction teams.

Material Inspection: Inspect and verify materials (towers, insulators, conductors, hardware) on arrival and ensure compliance with specifications.

Inventory Coordination: Track material consumption and coordinate logistics for timely availability at various construction points.

4. Safety, Quality & Compliance

Safety Enforcement: Ensure compliance with safety protocols (e.g., PPE use, working at height, grounding procedures) on-site.

Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks for foundation works, tower erection, and conductor stringing.

Standards Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to national and international standards (IS, IEC, IEEE), and local utility regulations.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project drawings, test reports, approvals, and technical changes.

Daily/Weekly Reports: Prepare progress reports, site diaries, and updates for project managers and stakeholders.

As-Built Drawings: Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final documentation for project handover.

6. Testing & Commissioning Support

Pre-commissioning Checks: Assist with line testing (e.g., continuity, earthing, insulation resistance) before energization.

Line Energization: Coordinate with utility companies and internal teams for safe commissioning of the transmission line.

Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot technical issues arising during testing and resolve them in collaboration with senior engineers.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

Liaison: Interact with design consultants, vendors, government bodies, and clients for site clearances, ROW (right of way), and utilities coordination.

Community Interaction: In ROW-sensitive areas, support outreach or coordination with landowners and local authorities.
