Airswift is seeking applicants for the role of Accounts Payable (AP) Intern to join the team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Role Description
You will be responsible for processing all supplier and non-employee invoices and employee staff claims covering countries across ASPAC. You are hands-on and enthusiastic about service delivery in a shared services environment and provide practical and effective assistance to our vendors, clients and employees in the payables workstream space to ensure all statutory compliance requirements are completely met. Our aim is to provide value-added services and solutions that are flexible and tailored to the circumstances and needs of our clients.
Key Accountabilities
Process invoices/credit notes, payments, staff claims and T&E in an efficient, timely and accurate manner in accordance to the frequency and deadlines agreed across ASPAC countries (eg. Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, China and ANZ).
Ensure vendor master data is safeguarded and vendor registration is created accurately.
Ensure staff expenses, PO and Non-PO invoices are compliant and approved according to DOA (delegation of authority matrix) and company policies including obtaining all required supporting documentation and appropriate authorization for disbursements.
Ensure Input and Withholding tax (eg. GST, VAT, and SST etc.) are properly recorded according to regulatory requirements (eg. invoice currency conversion requirements).
Resolve and respond to inquiries and discrepancies promptly and within service level agreements from suppliers, employees and non-employees.
Work closely with the Service Teams and other cross-functional teams on payables related issues, such as contractor expenses, recharges and intercompany.
Support improvements to streamline and automate processes across countries and operations in new countries as the company scales.
Any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time by line manager.
Person Specification
Enrolled in a University/College Degree or Diploma Program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power Point)
Fast Lerner-Ability to learn and grasp knowledge relating to the job functions.
