Sephora SEA's omni channel business spans over 8 countries (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as ION and Raffles City in Singapore, F88 in Kuala Lumpur and Pitt Street in Sydney. Sephora SEA is experiencing rapid growth in the region with new store openings and business channels (i.e., Click and collect and marketplace).
Retail Area Manager, Sephora Malaysia
The Area Manager is responsible for the overall performance and operational excellence of multiple retail stores within a defined geographic area. This role requires a highly motivated and experienced leader with a passion for retail, a strong understanding of sales and customer service, and the ability to drive results through effective team management. The Area Manager will ensure consistent execution of brand standards, maximize sales and profitability, cultivating a positive and engaging work environment for the teams.

Business Performance:
Deliver Top Line business results (business KPI) by optimizing resources and customer service
Analyse and communicate results to identify trends and opportunities
Achieve store profitability target by managing store expenses
Formulate effective business development strategies to ensure long-term success
Operational Excellence:
Improve client experience
Optimize operational efficiency to meet audit standards across all functions of the store
Partner with Marketing team to ensure in-store activations/events deliver on sales objectives
Ensure store presentations are in line with Sephora standards
Monitor service standards across store
Team Leadership and Talent Development:
Motivate, develop and coach our retail team
Optimize store resources by analyzing productivity of man-hours on selling vs non-selling activities and store traffic
Train and coach store managers and Store Management Team
Complete performance review and implement performance plan
Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively

Proven experience in a leadership role / managerial capacity within retail industry
Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned area within Malaysia
Adaptable to changing customer behavior and market trends, with a focus on innovation and creativity to drive category initiatives
Agility to effectively drive change and innovation with a customer-centric approach
Strong leadership skills to ensure effective collaboration and high performance
