Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Requirements

Possess a Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Entry-level position; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Familiarity with budgeting principles and cost control measures in construction projects.
Basic understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies.
Ability to assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the company's specific procedures and software related to quantity surveying.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
Must be willing to work remotely and be based in or near Muar, Johor.
Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.
Support senior quantity surveyors in the measurement and valuation of work done by contractors and subcontractors.
Assist in the preparation and submission of progress claims and payment certificates.
Maintain accurate records of all project-related costs and expenditures.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract agreements.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
Assist in the negotiation of contract variations and claims.
Support the project team in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Communicate effectively in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin with project stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients.
