CAPEX BUYER / PURCHASER

1. Source and negotiate for machines, equipment, tools, jigs/fixtures, spare parts, and engineering services.

2. Manage RFQs/RFPs, perform detailed cost comparisons, and conduct technical and commercial supplier evaluations.

3. Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) for capital equipment and long-term service agreements.

4. Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for mechanical parts, automation components, and engineering services.

5. Identify and qualify new suppliers to enhance competition, innovation, and cost efficiency.

6. Support Maintenance and Engineering teams in handling machine breakdowns, urgent spare requirements, equipment upgrades, and new CAPEX purchases.

7. Coordinate with project teams to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules and commissioning timelines.

8. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and service contracts.

9. Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner and ensure proper approval workflow compliance.

10. Track deliveries, monitor supplier performance, and proactively resolve delays or supply issues.

11. Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, company policies, and internal audit requirements.

12. Manage contract documentation, technical specifications, and procurement records accurately.

13. Drive cost-saving initiatives through value engineering, alternative sourcing, and market benchmarking.

14. Conduct regular market analysis to stay updated on pricing trends, raw material fluctuations, and supplier capabilities.

15. Mitigate procurement risks by evaluating supplier financial stability, lead times, and supply chain vulnerabilities.

16. Support CAPEX budget tracking, cost forecasting, and reporting to management.

17. Participate in cross-functional meetings to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
