General Worker

Position Summary:

The general worker in a manufacturing environment plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production lines. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly, production, preparing and quality control of products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety guidelines and quality standards.

Job Descriptions:

Assembly and Production: Assist in the assembly or manufacturing of products, including operating machinery, moving materials, and performing manual tasks as needed.

Material Handling: Load and unload materials and finished products, ensuring that all materials are stored properly to prevent damage or loss.

Machine Operation: Operate basic manufacturing machinery following safety protocols and instructions.

Quality Control: Inspect products or components for defects or deviations from specifications and report any issues to the supervisor.

Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly, and that work areas are free of debris.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate protective equipment, and immediately report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, supervisors, and departments to meet production goals and deadlines.

Other Duties: Perform other general duties as assigned by the supervisor, including routine maintenance tasks, basic troubleshooting, and assisting in other areas of the production process.

Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to work in a noisy, dusty and fast-paced environment.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Minimum SPM/Diploma

Minimum of one year working experience in manufacturing sector

Basic computer skills (added advantage)
