Senior Buyer cum Planner

Job description:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Material Planning (MRP): Analyze production schedules and Bills of Materials (BOM) to orchestrate material requirements, ensuring 100% production uptime.

End-to-End Procurement: Execute and manage Purchase Orders (PO) for raw materials, electronics, and sub-assemblies; track lifecycles to guarantee on-time delivery (OTD).

Inventory Optimization: Drive inventory health by monitoring turnover rates and executing mitigation strategies for Excess & Obsolete (E&O) stock.

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: Monitor supplier KPIs (Quality, Lead Time, Cost) and lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.

Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Production, Warehouse, QA, and Engineering to proactively resolve shortages or technical roadblocks.

Data Analytics: Generate actionable insights through regular reporting on procurement metrics, cost-saving initiatives, and inventory accuracy.

Job Requirements

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to facilitate seamless communication with global teams and Mandarin-speaking vendors.

Sector Expertise: Minimum [5] years of experience within the Contract Manufacturing (CM) or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

Education: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.

Technical Stack: Power-user of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Core Traits: A proactive problem-solver with strong negotiation skills and the resilience to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
