Key Responsibilities
Gather business and technical requirements, prepare analysis and design documentation, and design or enhance Equipment Integration (EI) and automation solutions for manufacturing.
Develop, implement, maintain, and support Equipment Integration and automation solutions.
Collaborate closely with CIM, IT, Production, Product, and Process Engineering teams to resolve MES, Equipment Integration, Automation, and electronic mapping-related technical issues.
Prepare training materials and conduct user training on MES, Equipment Integration, and automation systems.
Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with key users and business stakeholders.
Mentor and guide L1 support engineers in providing 24×7 application support, while taking ownership of L2/L3 support to ensure high system availability.
Troubleshoot application and system issues to minimize production downtime and maintain operational excellence.
Perform equipment characterization, generate compliance reports, and work closely with equipment vendors to ensure production equipment meets the organization's minimum automation standards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing automation, equipment connectivity, and operational efficiency.
Ensure all solutions comply with company standards, SEMI standards, and manufacturing best practices.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Outstanding fresh graduates from reputable universities may be considered for junior engineering positions.
For the Senior Engineer position, a minimum of three full project lifecycle implementations in CIM, Equipment Integration, or Manufacturing Automation is required, including:
At least one project in a Project Management or Technical Leadership role.
At least two projects in a Software Developer or System Engineer role.
Experience must be gained within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of SEMI standards, including:
E4 (SECS-I)
E5 (SECS-II)
E10 (RAM)
E30 (GEM)
E37 (HSMS)
Knowledge of SEMI E81 (CIM Framework) and E142 (Substrate Mapping) is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft technologies including VB.NET, C#.NET, Web Services, SOAP, XML, and REST APIs.
Strong database knowledge with hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
Good understanding of industrial automation and manufacturing communication protocols, including SECS/GEM, PLC, Modbus, and RPA.
Experience using SECS/GEM simulation and characterization tools such as FASTsim, openSIM Pro, SEC SIM Pro, or equivalent tools is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as:
Critical Manufacturing (Critical Manufacturing MES)
FactoryWorks
Fab300
Camstar
WorkStream
or equivalent MES platforms.
Experience with electronic mapping systems (Wafer, Substrate, or Panel Mapping) is highly preferred.
Experience with Critical Manufacturing Connect IoT is highly desirable.
Experience supporting AGV, ARV, or AMR implementation and integration within a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Semiconductor manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
1 Year contract with an option to either extendable / convertible
