Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Mewah Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing facilities. Based in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, this full-time position will see you lead a team of maintenance professionals, driving continuous improvement and implementing best practices to optimise equipment performance and reliability.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities

Lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate their work to maximise productivity and efficiency

Identify, investigate and resolve complex technical issues, implementing sustainable solutions

Analyse equipment performance data and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise plant operations

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Provide technical expertise and training to upskill the maintenance team

Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Degree in Mechanical or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment

Proven track record of leading a team of maintenance technicians

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong focus on root cause analysis

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, manuals and schematics

Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
