Sourcing Executive - Gelang Patah

Key Responsibilities
1. Source and evaluate new suppliers for raw materials, mechanical and electrical components, and manufacturing parts.
2. Request, compare, and analyze supplier quotations to achieve cost competitiveness and quality compliance.
3. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize total cost and reliability.
4. Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure supplier capability meets technical requirements.
5. Maintain approved supplier lists and manage supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery).
6. Prepare and maintain sourcing documentation such as RFQ summaries, supplier evaluation reports, and purchase records.
7. Support import/export and LMW documentation (if applicable) in collaboration with logistics and warehouse teams.
8. Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate invoicing, purchase order (PO) tracking, and payment follow-up.
9. Participate in cost reduction, localization, and supplier development projects.
10. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical sourcing practices, and ISO/quality management standards.

Job Requirements
· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum 2–3 years of sourcing or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
· Experience in SAP system or other ERP purchasing modules preferred.
· Knowledge of LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) and import/export procedures is an advantage.
· Strong negotiation and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
· Excellent communication and coordination skills.
· Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage for dealing with overseas suppliers).
